WYLLOW, a bicultural and woman-owned cannabis brand will launch its first multi-sensory micro-dispensary, which will also be the first BIPOC, woman-owned licensed dispensary to open in Los Angeles in August. Inspired by cannabis culture, the flagship storefront will feature custom-engineered ambient ASMR sounds, a terpene scent installation and pre-roll-inspired design elements. Offering an extraordinary space for guests to engage with the plant, WYLLOW will be the first permanent California installation from Singapore-based Space Objekt, the design masterminds behind stunning pop-ups located world-wide.
Sitting on sunny South Robertson Boulevard between Beverly Hills and Culver City in Los Angeles, WYLLOW beams with bespoke finishes such as cone-shaped mirrors, multi-colored LED lighting, and a dichroic finished entrance that will transport visitors into the World of WYLLOW. Guests will maneuver through the space prompted by custom-engineered ASMR and textural sounds, designed by Intriguant, including pinpoint audio such as rustling rolling paper, exhaled smoke and a pre-roll being tapped out in an ashtray. In the center of WYLLOW will be an interactive terpene-based scent installation that demonstrates the power of aromas and how terpenoids contribute to the effects and benefits of cannabis. Utilizing carefully selected building materials, such as hempcrete and hempwood, WYLLOW’s design seamlessly integrates the many functions of cannabis throughout its unique architecture.
“Cannabis expands consciousness and creativity so we chose to create a space that mirrors this spirit,” said Camille Roistacher, WYLLOW founder and CEO. “We launched WYLLOW during the pandemic, so coming out of this period with our first retail space, we wanted to express our vision for a new path forward, one where beauty surrounds us and reminds us of the connection we share – with one another and the natural world.”
WYLLOW guests can expect a curated premium selection of indoor, small batch cultivars that have sought-after genetics combined with terpene rich and robust flavor profiles for delightful and sustained effects. In addition to WYLLOW products, which include the brand’s newest line of mini pre-rolls, the dispensary will also carry smokables, edibles and topicals by a variety of popular brands with a strong focus on women-led, underrepresented minority-owned and BIPOC companies.
