Whoopi Goldberg has been very vocal about her cannabis use in the past. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the comedian, actress, and The View co-host said,” I have grown granddaughters who have severe cramps, so I said this is what I want to work on… For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort
Whoopi and Maya’s medical marijuana product line will consist of edibles, THC-infused bath soaks, tinctures, and topical rubs all designed specifically for the purpose of soothing cramps that women get from menstruation.
The company will also sell a line that only include cannabidiol, in hopes that their products can be used for discreet relief without the high that the drug usually induces. Goldberg said,”Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.”
Whoopi Goldberg and Maya Elisabeth’s line will be available in April, but due to the federal ban of marijuana and state medical marijuana laws it will only be sold in California.
