Cosmic View was created by the mother daughter duo of Dr. Christine Skibola and Nicole Skibola, who had turned to cannabis and CBD products after her diagnosis of a rare reproductive cancer. Based on the experience, Nicole and Christine decided to utilize their combined skills and knowledge to create a product line specifically aimed at wellness and helping individuals with specific health conditions.
Combined with her mother’s decades of scientific knowledge and research, Cosmic View was born. All of Cosmic View’s products are rooted in herbalism integrating various herbs and oils that are carefully researched and formulated in-house.
Cosmic View sources Sun + Earth certified organic cannabis, from local farms like Moon Made Farms, North Country Farms and Emerald Spirits Botanicals. Sun + Earth is a classification of regenerative cannabis farming which includes: full sun, planted directly in the earth, ferments and nutrients made from farm compost, all with the end goal of embracing the concept of regeneration — giving more than is taken away.
When sourcing, Cosmic View considers place of origin, organic certifications, and size of the producer to ensure the most ethical possible product. Cosmic View harvests their own herbs, and raises their own bees and ethically forages native and local plants for new flavors and formulations. By the end of 2022, Cosmic View will grow or wildcraft 75% of their herbal ingredients themselves.
Cosmic View works with cultivators and extractors to use solventless rosin and low pressure / low heat subcritical CO2 extraction methods. These techniques minimize terpene and valuable phytonutrient loss during the cannabis extraction process, retaining more of the natural polyphenols and chlorophyll from the plant that have antioxidant, anti-cancer and other health promoting benefits.
