Skin and body care brand, Aesop has introduced their first incense collection featuring three versions. Murasaki, Kagerou and Sarashina Aromatique Incense take their names from well-known diaries by female Japanese authors from the Heian period. Crafted in Japan by a centuries-old incense atelier, their aromas were formulated in partnership with Barnabé Fillion. Kagerous aroma is inspired by the woody, earthy, green and smoky facets of vetiver, igusa, sandalwood. Sarashina features dry, woody notes of sandalwood and warm, comforting spice of clove and cinnamon and Murasaki comprising fresh, woody resins of hinoki and warm spice of clove and cinnamon.
Designed linear in form, yet divergent in nature, this trio of unconventional fragrances are worthy for the home that make space for the mind to wander. Aesop Aromatique Incense have a unique square silhouette, made with no bamboo core for a gentle burn. Gradually unfurling delicate ribbons of aroma, they provide an air of studious serenity. In addition, they introduce a bronze incense holder created in collaboration with Vogel Studio.
