Over the course of the past few years, slip-on silhouettes have emerged victorious as a leading trend in footwear. Capitalizing on this, brands such as Nike have continued to rework existing designs and introduce fresh ones to meet this surging demand. For 2023, the Swoosh struck gold with the introduction of its Calm Slide — a monochromatic, open-toe option priced at $50 USD.
Now, it’s just been revealed that a mule version of the silhouette has also been prepared. Dubbed the Calm Mule, three singular-tone colorways recently appeared with a “Hemp” flavor joining the fray. The closed-toe, strap-equipped iteration of the Calm Slide is drenched in a light brown “Hemp” that again utilizes minimal branding via various debossed Swooshes at the upper, footbed and outsole as well as embossed “NIKE” text at the strap.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet shared any release details regarding the Calm Mule, including this “Hemp” colorway. Stay tuned for updates as we expect the silhouette to be officially unveiled soon as this pair’s likely to launch in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a price of $60 USD.
